Aquatuning Tour and Modding Facility

In addition to the third-party components it sells, Aquatuning also makes it's own coolant and also mods it's own PCs to it's customer's requirements. This includes pre-installing water cooling hardware and cutting blow holes for radiators where necessary.

Each isle is dedicated to barbs, or tubing, or pumps. On the right is a small selection of some of the modding gear, specifically cable braid Aquatuning offers.

The modding room was absolutely filled with every tool you can imagine. Aquatuning has even made templates for radiator and fan mount installation - just line them, drill the holes and your done.

Unfortunately Aquatuning was between modding sessions whilst we were there but the company was kind enough to supply us a few photos of a previous project. The case in question is the Lian Li A71F and the customer had requested a quad 120mm radiator to be installed in the roof along with the rest of the hardware.

Lian Li cases are popular because they usually come apart easily and offer nice flat sections to deal with - great when you're cutting large sections out of them. Above we can see the case already stripped down into its component parts.

The next step in the process is to cut the radiator hole - as they do this regularly, Aquatuning's in-house modders have made a template which allows them to do this quickly and cleanly.

The final step is to install all the hardware, tubing and all. Everything is leak tested and the fans and pump are powered on by jumping an external PSU. All that's left for the customer to do is fit the blocks to their hardware with the tubing having been cut to precise lengths to fit the hardware without kinking or needing more room.

Thanks to Aquatuning for showing us round and watch this space as the company has some exciting announcements for bit-tech modders on the horizon.
